First bank of Nigeria offers a mobile money service they nicknamed FirstMonie.

Mobile money can be used to make payment for goods and services through the mobile platform. Mobile money is slowly taking over the conventional means of payments through cash and cheques. Payments are now being made with mobile devices linked to a cash account.

One major advantage of making your transactions through Mobile Money is because Mobile transfers are instantaneous and it saves a lot of time. Instead of going to the Banking Hall to spend an hour or more, you can make such transactions through Mobile Wallets.

Firstmonie is the mobile money platform provided by First Bank Nigeria Plc. Firstmonie allows customers to access and carry out financial transactions through their mobile devices. Firstmonie customers can now pay bills, transfer and withdraw money, do shopping and Top up Airtime through their Firstmonie account

How to Register For Firstmonie:
There are three (3) ways to register for a Firstmonie account:

-You can register through USSD with your pone. Just dial *894# and follow the instructions.

-You can register online, by visiting the Firstmonie website. Go to www. www.firstmonie.com/iweb , and complete the registration form.

-You can register through a FIRSTMONIE AGENT. Locate any Firstmonie agent around you, and open an account with Him or Her.

How To Fund Your Firstmonie Account:
You can fund your Firstmonie account through the following ways:

1. Through online transfers with your Visa card, Verve card and MasterCard.

2. Through a Firstmonie Agent

- Visit an agent near you
- Give the Agent the equivalent amount you want to fund in cash and provide your account details.
- The Agent would fund your account with the e-value equivalent
- Confirm the transaction before leaving the Agent’s location.

3. Through Firstmonie Bank account

- Walk into any First Bank branch near you, and make a deposit into the Firstmonie Bank account
- The e-value equivalent would be credited to your account.

4. Through ATM Machines:
- Walk into any ATM Machine around you, Slot in Your card, Enter your PIN
- Select the “Send to Mobile” option
- Fill in your mobile number
- Fill the amount you want to fund
- Select proceed.

How To Purchase Airtime With Your Firstmonie Account:
- Dial *894#
- Select Airtime. A menu would appear
- Reply by pressing 5 and the follow the instructions.

How To Pay Your Bill With Firstmonie Account:

- Dial *894#, A menu would appear, Reply by pressing 4. Enter the the Bill Category example DSTV Bill, confirm and send.

How To Send Money Through Firstmonie:
- Dial *894#, A menu would appear
- Reply by pressing 1, follow the instructions

How To Withdraw From Firstmponie via ATM:
- Visit any First Bank ATM near you
- Press the button to initiate the cashless transactions,
- Click on Send to Phone
- Enter your Firstmonie token number that was send via SMS to your phone
- Enter your five (5) PIN
- Select the amount you want to withdraw and proceed.
