Got a Fidelity bank account? Well you can now load airtime credit directly to your GSM sim by dialing the topup code *770*Amount# e.g. *770*1000# if you want to load a credit of N1000.

It's the new way Nigerian banks are making life a lot easier for Nigerians who have a bank account with them. Customers no longer need to scratch recharge cards or visit local airtime vendors just to recharge their phone credit as they can do this from home or office by simply dialing the magic code *770*Amount# which is dedicated to Fidelity bank account holders.

It seems Fidelity bank has an arrangement with GSM companies in Nigeria that enabled them have a dedicated USSD code for loading airtime to their customer's phone.

Fidelity bank calls this airtime topup service the "Fidelity instant recharge" and it only works for existing customers through their already registered phone numbers.

How much can you load per day? Well, you can load a maximum of N5000 per day and I think the minimum would be about N50. You just need to have enough funds in your account before dialing the recharge code using the phone number you already registered with Fidelity bank.

This service doesn't need any new registration or application from existing customers since it's already activate for free for them and there are no extra chargers for using this service but I think you need to have at least N5 in your phone before trying to dial the USSD code since it uses about N2 per request.

So, when next your airtime credit is going low, just dial *770*Amount# if you are Fidelity bank customer.
